Shamsuddeen, AK Secretary GIRD had brought some fruitful results of his Dubai visit. Meeting with HE Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, ruler of Dubai and Vice President of UAE chaired meeting organized by Juveline Welfare Association in Coordination with Awqaf and Minors Affairs Foundation at Dubai and discussed on Social Development. The meeting urged the importance Social Development and role every individuals towards the co- fellows in the society.
The Executive Committee felt that this important programm need to be enhanced further and evolved into a major programme of wider-scale. We have sought help and association from some other organsations and organisiing programme for the benefit of 200 very poor children studying in Wisdom Public School, Munirka by providing them wholesome Mid Day Meal including green vegetables and fruits. The programme was undertaken from December 1 to March, 25th (the last working day of the academic year 2006-07)

Same day Green Insitute for Reaserch & Development have submitted a Project Proposal for Financial support on STARATEGIC YOUTH MOVEMENT PROGRAMME IN UTARPRADESH, A PROMINENT SATE OF INDIA TOWARDS A FREE AND PEACEFUL INDIA BY IMPARTING BASIC EDUCATION. Now waiting for their approval to this to make one of our future programme.

25 November, 2007 - His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, today pledged a personal contribution of AED1.7 billion, equivalent to the funds raised by Dubai Cares, bringing its total to AED3.4 billion (about US$1 billion). UNEP – CLEAN THE WORLD 2007 IN DUBAI
Green Institute for Research and Development organized members Indian organization in Dubai and adjoing states of Dubai with the help of Indian Association in UAE and participated three days campaign with around 200 volunteers
Through these campaign and efforts we intend to-
1- Increase volunteer levels in environment clean up campaigns.
2- Enhance co- operations between various stakeholders to advance Environmental issues.
3- Improve environmental awareness and emphasis the importance of reducing waste generation.
4- Assist in neighborhood preservation by removing litter and debris
5- Focus media attention on Environmental issues.
GIRD had awarded a certificate of appreciation on the occasion to recognize of sincere efforts and outstanding contrition to make “Clean up the world 2007” a grand success.
