GIRD was recognized and honoured for its exemplary work as an NGO during the National Meet – ‘Advantage Rural India’ held on 24th to -26th, April 2007 at New Delhi by the Confederation of Rural NGOs of Rural India (CNRI)

CNRI is an Apex Body of Non-Governmental organizations of rural India with the specific objective of strengthening, co-ordinating and facilitating their working at the grass root level for integrated development of the rural India and to emerge as a think-tank as well as a consultative body at the national and international level. Presently 6500 members from all over India among 24 state.
